Hi, I’m Veronica — the heart and hands behind VG Creations Ireland.

My journey into the world of candle-making and creative design began with something simple but meaningful: a shared love of candles with my mum. Growing up, there was rarely a day when a candle wasn’t lit in our home. They brought us warmth, comfort, and peace. But while I adored the soft glow and soothing aromas, my mum often struggled — many scented candles gave her headaches, leaving her to enjoy only the unscented ones.

Back in 2017, I dreamed of starting something creative of my own, but fear and uncertainty held me back. It wasn’t until my mum was diagnosed with a rare and irreversible heart condition and a Total Occlusion (CTO) of the asymmetric artery with 100% blockage, causing Abdominal aortic aneurysm — that everything changed in 2023. Her illness deeply affected her quality of life and spirit. Watching the most vibrant, supportive person in my life lose her spark pushed me to find a way to bring light, peace, and joy back into both our lives.

Candle-making became my hobby and my therapy. I started crafting wax melts and candles using natural, non-toxic ingredients — gentle enough for my mum, yet powerful in scent and style. I focused on essential oils and vegan-friendly, clean-burning materials that wouldn’t trigger headaches but would still fill a room with warmth. I wanted every creation to feel unique, beautiful, and deeply personal.

It wasn’t easy. I failed many times. There were moments I wanted to give up — even recently. But through it all, my mum and my husband have been my biggest cheerleaders. Their encouragement, along with the incredible feedback from family, friends, and even wedding guests, kept me going. What started as a hobby in 2024, soon became a calling.

And so, VG Creations Ireland was born — a space where creativity, passion, and affordability come together. Whether you’re looking for handcrafted candles, personalised wax melts, wedding favours, or thoughtful gifts, everything is made with care, purpose, and heart.
